Williams high score save kit designed to eliminate the original batteries used on Williams CPU boards for Joust, Robotron, Stargate and Sinistar. This kit uses a long life zeropower SRAM in place of the original "AA" batteries and the CMOS ram chip originally used by these boards to save scores. The battery back-up should last 10 plus years without failure. Benefits of the kit include:

  • Game settings, including high score table are saved for 10+ years.
  • Original batteries are no longer needed.
  • Problems with loss of game settings and high scores due to a switching power supply are eliminated.
Installation instructions are included and some soldering is required (the CMOS ram chip must be removed from your CPU board).

This kit will work on Joust, Robotron, Stargate and Sinistar. The kit will not work on Defender or Bubbles CPU boards.

Overview
Third in the Defender, Stargate series. In this, the last incaration, you are saving the humans yet again. You have to watch out for various bad guys trying to kill you and "the family." As with most Williams games of this era, the game is extremely fast-paced, and intense.

Coin-Op Overview
The game features two 8-way joysticks: one for moving your character, and one for firing. It takes a bit of practice, but eventually a player can get the hang of moving in one direction and firing in a completely different direction.
