- What kind of warranty do you offer on your games? Parts?
We warranty our restored arcade games for 30-days. For more details
on our warranty please see our Warranty Page.
Parts are described as tested and working, untested or not-working
on our website. We warranty all tested and working circuit boards
and power supplies for 10 days from the time the item is received.
We cannot be held responsible if a circuit board fails due to
improper installation.
- What is your return policy?
All sales are final. We warranty working game circuit boards
for 10 days from the day they are received. If you have a problem
with your board during this period please contact us to arrange an
exchange (provided that a replacement is available). We will not
accept returned boards that have been damaged due
to improper installation. This can occur when a board is insert
backwards, or installed improperly.
- What kind of restoration work do you on your games?
Every game that we sell has been thoroughly tested and is
100% working before it leaves our hands. In addition to doing our
best to bulletproof each we sell we do a number of steps to restore
the appearance of each game. For more information on our restoration
process please see About our Games.
- Do you have “x” game in stock?
All of the games that we have available for sale are listed on
our website. If you don’t see a particular game you’re looking for
you can sign up for our Game Finder Service. We’ll notify you if/when
that game becomes in stock.
Note that we currently only carry classic games (pre-1990). We do not
carry very new arcade games, pinball machines or other games such
as basketball games or bubble hockey games.
- What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, cashier’s checks, money orders and
personal checks (held until they clear our bank account,
typically 5-7 business days). We can only ship credit card orders
to the address that corresponds with the address for the credit card.
- I would like to order a particular game. How does the process work?
As you can imagine buying a full-size arcade game is a bit
different than buying most items. We have put together a short
article on buying a game.
Here’s a quick summary of the game buying process: We take a
$200 deposit for your game and then send you an invoice
(by e-mail) covering the terms of sale. We ask that you
sign the invoice and fax or mail back to us. We then begin
restoring your game and notify you of your game’s progress.
Once the game is completed we put the game through a “burn-in”
test to ensure everything is working properly. We then schedule
the game to be shipped out.
Shipping generally takes three to five business days. Our contract
with our shipper does not obligate them to bring the game in your
house. We suggest having a second set of hands and hand truck to
move the game inside.
- I need a particular part. Do you have it in stock?
Every part that we have available for sale is listed on our
website. If you don’t see a part or item you’re looking for on our
website, we don’t have it in stock. We add parts to our website
every week as we get them in stock.
- I found something on your website that I would
like to buy. Is it still available?
We use a real-time inventory system, meaning everything listed on
our website is in stock and available.
- Do you ship games international? Parts?
We currently do not ship any of other games outside of the
United States. We do ship most of the parts that we carry
internationally. Please see our International Shipping Page
for more information.
- I’m thinking about buying “x” game. Do you have
dimensions of it available?
Yes, we list the approximate dimensions of every game we sell
at the bottom of each game’s listing.
- I just placed an order for a game or part. When will it ship?
We ship most non-arcade game orders within two business days
of receiving order. In certain instances, it can take slightly
longer to ship depending on the part. We always send a
notification e-mailing letting you know when you’re order has shipped.
Orders for restored games vary by order. In cases where the game has
yet to be restored it typically takes two to four weeks for a game
to be restored, packed up and shipped out. We will be in constant communication
with you throughout the process to let you know when your game is ready to ship.
- Can you help me fix my arcade game?
Unfortunately we get numerous e-mails every day and simply don’t
have the time to help fix games that you might have purchased
elsewhere. We wish we could help out every individual that
e-mails us with his or her questions, but unfortunately we just don’t
have the time.
If you are local to Philadelphia we do repair video
games (depending on your location, the game and our schedule).
Service calls normally run $55.00 an hour (including our time to
get to the game) plus any parts required to fix the game. For more
information on having us repair a game please e-mail us at
sales@quarterarcade.com or call us at
(610) 287-3260. We do not repair pinball machines or other games at this time.
- I have a question that isn’t listed on your FAQ,
how can I find an answer?
We’re more than happy to answer questions concerning possible
game and/or parts purchases by e-mail at sales@quarterarcade.com
or by phone at (610) 287-3260. We are typically available
Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 5:00 EST, although some
days we are on the road buying games. We do check our
voicemail frequently.
